You can record your face and voice to create your avatar to use in Gemini Apps. Once you’ve created your avatar you can use it when you create videos with Gemini Omni or images with Nano Banana and streamline your content creation process. 

This is not a Bitmoji. This is your actual likeness as a reusable asset.

### What You Need

To create an avatar, you must:

- Be 18 or over
- Be signed in with a personal Google Account

Important: Avatars are currently not available in the EEA, Switzerland, or the United Kingdom and Avatars are currently only supported in English.

### How to Create Your Avatar: 7 Tips That Actually Matter

Google is strict about the capture. Follow this to get accepted first time:

1. Phone at eye level: Hold your phone at eye level
2. Lighting is just right: Use lighting that is not too dim or too bright
3. Face clearly visible: Ensure your eyes, nose, and mouth are visible. Glasses are fine to keep on, but no sunglasses, masks, or hats
4. No sunglasses, masks, hats: Remove them, keep face clear
5. Quiet area: Choose a quiet area to record your voice. There should be no other voices in the background
6. No people in background: Check that there are no people or images of faces in your background
7. 18+ and personal account: The account owner must complete this process. No minors.

### How to Use Your Avatar

Once saved, you just tag yourself in a prompt.

Examples from Google:

- "Create an image of @\[your Google username\] singing with an orchestra."
- "Write a story where @\[your Google username\] is the main character, facing a dragon."

### Find and Manage Your Avatar

- When you delete your recordings, your recorded selfie and voice data for that avatar will be removed from Google's systems.
- Videos or content you already made and published with that avatar are not deleted.

Your likeness becomes a prompt.
